2017 Nomination and Election Process

 In accordance with our Chapter by-laws:

  1. In 2017, the PMI-DHC Chapter will be electing from the general membership up to three (3) Directors who will each stand for a 3 year term on the Chapter Board. 
  1. Candidates must be current members of PMI-DHC and have held membership for at least six (6) months. Candidates should  have previous volunteer experience with PMI. Candidates must also be in good standing with PMI as a whole.
  2. The Nominations Committee requires your nominations to be submitted on the provided nomination form  by e-mail (or in person) no later than 11:59 p.m. on May 8th, 2017.
  3. The Nominations Committee will review nominations against the identified desired skill set. Candidates who are not currently serving on the PMI-DHC Board of Directors will also be interviewed.  If the candidate(s) do not meet the desired skill sets, the Nominations Committee will make a second call for nominations to the general membership.
  4. Final nominations will be reviewed against the desired skill sets, including reference checks. The Nominations Committee will contact any nominees whose names will not be included on the slate for election.
  5. If more than three (3) candidates pass the above review, the slate of candidates will be compiled and presented to the membership via email and published on the PMI-DHC website on May 15th, 2017 so that an election can be conducted.  Instructions will be sent by email to all current members. Members will have the opportunity to vote online until 11:59 p.m. on May 29th, 2017.
  6. The Nominations Committee will review the results and notify all candidates of the election results, prior to release to the membership.
  7. The results of the 2017 Nominations and Election Process will be announced at the 15th Anniversary Event, via email to all members, and posted on the PMI-DHC website on June 15, 2017.

The PMI-DHC Chapter has been providing programs and services to the membership, as well as strengthening relationships with our broader PMI community for over 10 years. The strategic plan for next year and beyond supports and fortifies our continuous evolution and growth as a Board and as a Chapter and encourages increased opportunities for members to volunteer and become more involved in the delivery of our programs and activities.
