Topic: Vendor Management: Essential PM tools in meeting project deliverables.

Almost every initiative you work on is dependent on outside resources to meet your project’s objective.  This session will give you an overview of vendor management and discuss a few more tools to add to your PM toolbelt.

The session will start with an Ice Breaker to kick things off.

Ellie will cover:

  • An overview of the process domains for Vendor Management: Contract Management, Financial Management, Delivery Management, Performance Management, Risk Management, Relationship Management, and Governance.
  • Provide an overview of the Accredited Outsourcing Practitioner (AOP) certification.
  • Discuss the critical success factor of Vendor Management which is managing the relationship with the Supplier as well as your Business Partners.
  • Present parallels between project management and vendor management
  • Share experiences on two projects in the Business Lead role: (1) Transition from one Supplier to another Supplier; and (2) Renewing an existing contract. Identify the pitfalls and lessons learned

PDUs: Technical 1.5
