Topic: Let’s really talk about the performance evaluation and feedback back process for Project Individuals

We will start this presentation with a review of some of the practices and processes that are in use in most organizations when it comes to performance evaluation and feedback for individuals that work on projects. There has been a lot of talk lately about the connection to this process and engagement of individuals at work. We will soon discover that evaluation and feedback is not as clear cut as you can imagine for individuals that work in an environment defined as temporary, creating something unique and progressively elaborated. Our work does not fit nicely in yearly processes.

The second part of the presentation will engage you in a large discussion with the group around lessons learned from your experiences in the field, good and best practices that you have encountered and finally trying to come up as a group with a model that might suit most needs. This part of our group presentation will be documented and posted to the website with the earlier slides so that anyone wanting to revamp or develop a performance / feedback process at their company can have all of our hard work to start with.

Be prepared to participate and contribute. Your experiences, comments and recommendations will make this a value-added presentation for anyone having issues with their organization’s process.

Speaker Bio:

Sylvie Edwards
SRE Solutions

Sylvie has been involved in Project Management in a number of varied industries for the past 25 years. Sylvie previously worked for a top 5 Consulting Firm, where she was in charge of projects in the Information Technology, Banking, IT, Government and Securities sectors as well as a Manager in the Risk Management practice. 

Sylvie also worked closely with the Consulting Practice to establish processes, strategies and develop methodologies. Sylvie was instrumental in the development of methodologies for Project Management Office as well as for the evaluation and review of projects in peril.  Sylvie also worked on the establishment of a Project Maturity model for both practitioner and organization.

Sylvie has since 2002 started her own consultancy practice (SRE Solutions), which caters to clients in need of project management education and project risk management, PMO setup/evaluation or recovery services. Through her work in education, Sylvie delivers training at several Universities and Colleges across the country in both French and English.

Sylvie is a member of the Project Management Institute and has received her PMP® certification. Sylvie also served on the Board of the PMI Durham Highlands (Ontario) Chapter for more than 10 years in a variety of roles.
