Biographies
Delroy Trowers
Delroy Trowers is a Project Manager and Marketer, who has led a wide range of strategic and operational projects, including a Route-to-Market Trade Route Optimization Project, where he designed and implemented an alternative distribution system for a multinational organization. Throughout his career, Delroy has held several senior leadership roles, including Facilities and Logistics Manager responsible for infrastructure projects, Functional Head of Distribution for a multinational organization overseeing product launches and distribution channel development, and Chairman of multiple committees.
Beyond his professional career, Delroy is deeply committed to community service. As a member of the Kiwanis Club, he organized and supported numerous charitable initiatives. He is also an active volunteer within his church community, where he participates in outreach programs, including feeding initiatives for the less fortunate.
He has been a member of PMI since 2011 and has held his PMP designation since 2014. Delroy currently serves as Outreach Director on the PMI-DHC Board. He previously held the roles of Vice President of Finance and Director of Membership, contributing over seven years of dedicated volunteer service to the chapter.
Heather Ricciuto
Heather Ricciuto is a seasoned technology leader, project manager, educator, and community builder with more than 35 years of experience in the tech sector. Known for her leadership in cybersecurity outreach, she has guided major initiatives at IBM, including the Women in Security Excelling (WISE) Business Resource Group and the global CyberDay4Girls program. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with honours such as the IBM CEO Volunteer Excellence Award and inclusion in IT World Canada’s Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity.
Today, Heather focuses on advancing learning, leadership, and professional growth within the project management community. She teaches project management at Durham College and serves as Director of Professional Development for PMI Durham Highlands, where she develops programs that support continuous learning and career advancement. Passionate about empowering others, Heather brings her expertise, energy, and commitment to every space she serves.
Lori MacEachern
Lori MacEachern has almost 30 years experience in the financial industry and was an accidental PM who made it official when she earned her PMP in 2019. One of the benefits of being a PMP is the access to community and Lori joined the PMI-DHC Chapter as a volunteer, quickly moving into the Mentorship Chair and then Director, Professional Development.
As a current PMI-DHC board member, VP of Finance, Lori is responsible for providing direction with respect to and in support of all financial activities required for the Chapter operations including developing and improving operational best practice for solid financial governance.
In her day to day, Lori is an effective relationship builder, problem solver and communicator. She is recognized for successful strategic influencing, thorough planning and implementation of complex initiatives.
Mark Lewis
Graduating from Queen’s University, Mark Lewis began his career in retail management as one of the first employees of Indigo Books and Music, moving to a head office role as a buyer for the chain before moving to Staples Canada as a buyer. Switching over to a sales manager role, he worked for a high-end home décor company as their GTA sales manager, before becoming the Canadian Sales Manager for US nutrition supplement company. He continued his career in the nutrition and pharmaceutical industries, consulting with global companies from Asia and Europe looking to expand into the Canadian market.
Mark is currently a professor at Durham College, Oshawa ON. He teaches in the Faculty of Business, primarily in the Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Finance Programs. After joining Durham College in 2020, he found his calling, teaching the next generation of Project Managers. Continuing his education with an MBA from Heriot Watt University, he has been active in teaching, developing courses and programs and mentoring at the College.
Prachi Verma
Prachi Verma is an IT Portfolio Director with over 18 years of global experience leading large-scale technology transformation, governance, and portfolio management across financial services, utilities, and public sector organizations. She has successfully managed complex portfolios ranging from $30M to $4B, ensuring disciplined execution, regulatory compliance, and alignment of technology investments with business strategy and value realization.
Beyond her professional work, she is deeply committed to community and academic upliftment, with over two decades of engagement in mentoring, leadership development, and professional knowledge-sharing initiatives. She currently serves in Board leadership role at the Durham College Alumni Association, as Vice President I, where she contributes to governance, nominations, and strategic planning to enhance alumni engagement and organizational impact. She is passionate about building inclusive, value-driven leadership ecosystems that connect governance, people, and purpose.
