PMI-DHC Update on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and Chapter Activities

Dear Members & Guests,

MAY 20, 2020. Never in our wildest dreams could we have planned for an event so unprecedented that it would change the way the world works.  The COVID-19 outbreak has deeply impacted the fabric of our lives in every imaginable way. As a society, we have had to find new ways to connect and collaborate.

PMI-DHC continues to look for new and innovative tools to keep you connected to your chapter. We have moved all monthly meetings on-line for the duration of the Chapter year ending in June.

We are closely monitoring relevant guidelines coming down from our Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments in regards to social and business gatherings and are working to modify our chapter activities accordingly as we prepare for the fall.

We don’t know what our new ‘normal’ will look like but we can assure you that the limitations of physical distancing will not stop you from receiving valuable content at our monthly meetings and opportunities to connect with your peers over the coming months.

Please check in regularly for updates, upcoming activities and Board Announcements.

MAR 16, 2020. As the world grapples with the Coronavirus outbreak, and in light of the recent update by the World Health Organization (WHO) labelling COVID-19 as a pandemic, we recognize that you may have some concerns and questions about our upcoming events. We wanted to alert you to how the chapter is responding and to assure you that your safety and well-being is our highest priority.

We have decided to cancel all upcoming events for the months of March to April 6, 2020. Members who have signed up for events during this period will be contacted separately regarding their registration.

We will continue to follow the relevant guidelines provided by both Health Canada and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the proper management of this issue and we will adapt our response as the situation evolves. PMI Durham Highlands will inform attendees, volunteers, guests and other relevant parties in case of cancellation or rescheduling of any of the chapter activities beyond April 6, 2020. Please keep checking our website for updates.
