A Message from our Founder
How did it all happen?
Excerpt of a 2019 interview with Dr. W.G.M. (Bud) Lush, PMI-DHC Founder.
The Durham Highlands Chapter was founded in 1999 through the sponsorship of Dr. W.G.M. (Bud) Lush and a small group of interested Project Management practitioners in Durham Region. On February 11, 2002, we became a 'chartered' PMI® chapter.

| October 2024 | PMI-DHC Bylaw version 8 published. | |
| October 7, 2024 | PMP® certification turns 40! | |
| May 2024 | PMI-DHC prequalified for PMI Chapter of the Year Award nomination. | |
| September 2023 | Chapter reaches 1,400+ members. | |
| September 2023 | PMI-DHC aligns its Fiscal and Operational budget years to Sept 1 - Aug 31. | |
| June 2023 | PMI-DHC prequalified for PMI Chapter of the Year Award nomination. | |
| May 2023 | Membership approves the revised v7 of PMI-DHC Bylaws. | |
| February 2023 | Chapter reaches 1,300+ members. | |
| September 2022 | Chapter reaches 1,100+ members. | |
| September 2022 | PMI Durham Highlands Chapter is one of the 2022 Chapter of the Year Award finalists. 1 of 7 finalists in Category II - 301 to 1,500 members category. |
