Call for Speakers
We welcome proposals to present at PMI Durham Highlands' events
We welcome proposals in the following formats:
- 1-hour Presentation as part of our Monthly Chapter Meeting (MCM) evening events. These attract between 50 to 100 professionals from information technology, finance, engineering, construction, government, telecommunications, and other industries.
- 1.5- to 4-hour Professional Development (PD) Event scheduled as Saturday morning or week-day evening webinars/workshops. These events draw between 20 to 60 individuals from a similar range of businesses.
Topics for formats 1 & 2 above must fall under the PMI Talent Triangle®.
This is an opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with project, program and portfolio management professionals. Attendees are primarily from our membership of over 900, approximately 90% of whom are PMI certified Project Management Professionals (PMP®). The speakers and their presentation topics are advertised on our website and in the notification emails that are regularly sent out to the membership.
Submission Procedure:
- You may provide multiple submissions.
- Each submission must be for a specific topic aligned with the PMI Talent Triangle® and fall within formats 1 or 2 above.
- The chapter reserves the right to accept or reject any submission.
- Complete the submission forms as outlined below:
- For format 1, (1-hour MCM Presentation), please complete the MCM Speaker Presentation Form and email to: [email protected]
- For format 2, (1.5- to 4-hour Workshop/Presentation), please complete the PD Event Speaker Form and email to: [email protected]
- Note (1): Your presentation shall not be a sales pitch for any specific product or service but rather informative and/or educational.
- Note (2): Speakers certify that their presentations are unique material, and that they have the legal rights to deliver the presentation.
